Summary
Utilitiesman Constructionman Ariel Hogue, originally from Pensacola, Fla., chops off a piece of excess snow from the snow sculpture she is creating, Jan. 30, 2014. Hogue is a member of the 2014 Navy Misawa Snow Team, which is attempting to sculpt a six-foot-by-six-foot block of snow into a frosty, 3-D version of the U.S. Navy Seabee's "Fighting Bee" logo for the 65th Annual Sapporo Snow Festival. This is the 31st year that Naval Air Facility Misawa and its tenant commands have sent a delegation of sailors to the festival to create a sculpture, and to serve as U.S. Navy goodwill ambassadors.
