Mr. Simpson is a republican andduring 1918 served by appointment as county com-missioner. He is a member of the MethodistChurch and is affiliated with Bozeman Lodge No.18. .A.ncient Free and Accepted Masons, Zona Chap-ter No. 12. Royal .■\rch Masons, St. Johns Com-mandery No. 12, Knights Templar, and BozemanLodge No. 463 of the Elks. He is an active mem-ber of the Chamber of Commerce. His firm ownsthe Senator Hoffman corner opposite the post-office at Bozeman. and Mr. Simpson makes hishome there, while his partner resides in the Ever-green Apartments. Simpson & Truitt own a ranchadjoining the Montana State College and the town-site on the south. This consists of 160 acres ofirrigated land.
