Mr. Fowell is also secretary of ithe Ubet Oil Company, and has a modern and com-fortable home on High Street in Judith Gap. Politically he is identified with the republicanparty. He has not sought public office, though itis a matter of record that he was one of the firstcity council at Harlowton. He is affiliated with Mus-selshell Lodge No. 69, Ancient Free and .\cceptedMasons, at Harlowton; Harlowton Chapter No. 22,Royal Arch Masons, and Gordon Lodge No. 89 ofthe Independent Order of Odd Fellows at Straw,Montana. March 27, 1907, at Townsend, Montana, he marriedMiss Etta Townsend, daughter of William and LucyTownsend, the latter now deceased. Her father is aMontana pioneer, coming to the territory in 1884,and for over thirty years has been a successfulrancher and still lives on his ranch at Martinsdale.

Four children have been bornto Mr. and Mrs. Fowell; Kenneth, born May 10,1908; Theron, born November 26, 1911; Murlen,born August 25, 1914, and Kathryn, born February28, 1916. O. M. Lanstrum, M. D. For a physician and sur-geon busied with the exacting cares and duties ofhis profession, Doctor Lanstrum of Helena has hadan exceptional range of other activities in politicsand business affairs, all indicating the versatiletalents of the man and his ability to perform anastonishing amount of work in the twenty-fourhours allotted to every day. Doctor Lanstrum has been a resident of Montanafor a quarter of a century. He is a son and grandsonof a Union soldier during the American Civil war.His grandfather was John Lanstrum, a native ofSweden, who brought his family to this country in1848 and settled on a farm at Knoxville, Illin
