The feature of this popular lunch room, as its name indicates,is that all dishes served cost but five cents each, while the bill of fare is as longand as varied as that presented at restaurants where the prices are four or fivetimes higher. Every one receives prompt attention ; there is no waiting, andeverything is neat and clean. The bill includes soups of all kinds, roast andboiled meats, stews, and in fact about everything that the average man couldwant from which to make a selection. WASHINGTON STREET. THE COWXES-COUCH CO., Plumbing and Gas-Fitting, No. 116 State Street.—The earlier settlers of the Connecticut Valley, whoshivered through the long winters—longer in those days than of recent years—could never in their wildest dreams of luxury, convenience and comfort haveconceived of half the many comforts now enjoyed by their descendants, andtaken by all in these times as a matter of course and almost necessity. Fore-most among the many comforts and luxuries of a comparatively few yearsstanding may be mentioned the heating of houses, blocks, etc., by steam andhot-water systems. Among the many boilers now in use for heating by hotwater there are none that possess the qualities of durability, efficiency andeconomy in the use of fuel to a greater degree than the Gurney Hot-WaterHeater. This heater is sold and set in place, connected with a complete line ofpipes and radiators, ready for heating any size house or block, and guaranteedto give perfect satisfaction i
