Chief Builder Billy Harger, originally from Pearl City,

description

Summary

Chief Builder Billy Harger, originally from Pearl City, Hawaii, shows some Japanese school children how he writes his name in English, Feb. 5, 2014. Harger is the team leader of the 2014 Navy Misawa Snow Sculpture Team, which is in Hokkaido, Japan, taking part in the 65th Annual Sapporo Snow Festival. The team sculpted a frosty, 3-D version of the U.S. Navy Seabee's "Fighting Bee" logo. This is the 31st year that Naval Air Facility Misawa and its tenant commands have sent a delegation of sailors to Sapporo to create a sculpture, and to serve as U.S. Navy good will ambassadors in an area of Japan that doesn’t receive much U.S. Navy exposure.
