Summary

Rough Rider Michael McNamara, Private, 5th Dragoon Guards. Just after the Crimean War, as part of a commissioned set of photographs taken at Aldershot for Queen Victoria. McNamara served at Sevastapol and Inkerman, as well as the charge of the Heavy Brigade in the Battle of Balaklava. He left service as a corporal in 1867.[1] From the collection of Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom. Printed in carbon; 45.5 x 35.5 cm.
