CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – In In the Space Station Processing Facility, STS-130 Mission Specialist Kathryn Hire holds a piece of hardware associated with the Cupola, part of the payload on the mission to the International Space Station. Chefkonstrukteur Billy Harger, links, der ursprünglich aus Pearl City, Hawaii, stammt, und Minenarbeiter Andrew Handley, der ursprünglich aus Stroud, Oklahoma, stammt, interagieren während des 65. jährlichen Sapporo Snow Festival am 7. Februar 2014 mit Schulkindern. Beide sind Mitglieder des Navy Misawa Snow Teams 2014, das sich derzeit in Sapporo, Japan, aufhält und am jährlichen Festival der Stadt teilnimmt. Das Team formte eine frostige 3-D-Version des "Fighting Bee" -Logos der US Navy Seabee. Dies ist das 31. Jahr, in dem die Marineluftanlage Misawa und ihr Pächter eine Delegation von Matrosen nach Sapporo entsandt haben, um eine Skulptur zu schaffen und als Botschafter des guten Willens der US-Marine zu dienen.
