(1) The museum of the Wisconsin His-torical Society contains a collection of rude artifactsfrom Seneca, Mo. They are made of a light-coloredchert, similar to that of some large spears and knives(points) in the Brower collections, derived fromMissouri. (Jn breaking one of the triangular flakes,Curator Brown found the light color is not due to apatina, but that the material is white within ; but onclose inspection it is to be noted that the interiorwhiteness h
