Panzer in der Massenkultur. Die Panzer wurden zunächst getrennt und gleichzeitig von Großbritannien und Frankreich entwickelt, um den Stillstand der Grabenkämpfe an der Westfront zu überwinden. Ihr erster Einsatz im Kampf erfolgte durch die britische Armee im September 1916 während der Schlacht an der Somme.
