In view of its importance as thecapital city of the State, and the centre of great manufacturing and commercialinterests, Hartford always has a large floating population, and to those whomay at any time have occasion to visit the city as well as to those whomay be permanently located here, and prefer the comforts and conveniences ofhotel residence, some information concerning the leading hotel of the city willbe most welcome. The Allyn House, the hotel referred to, is an old-establishedand most popular hostelry, of which Mr. Robert Allyn is the founder and pro-prietor.
