Formerl) those whose business necessitated theemployment of the engravers assistance were compelled to go to New York orBoston to have their orders executed ; now they may have all such work doneat home as well, if not better, by the Hartford Engraving Company. Thisconcern at No. 66 State Street, in the Courant Building, is complete in everydetail, and provided with the most approved apparatus for photo-engraving,half-tone and line work. This company makes a specialty of producing finehalf-tone plates on hard-rolled copper, and all its work is guaranteed to givethorough satisfaction, while its charges are as low as those of any New Yorkhouse for work of similar quality. They have a large and competent force ofassistants, and all orders are executed promptly. 72
