Rough Rider Michael McNamara, Private, 5th Dragoon Guards. Just after the Crimean War, as part of a commissioned set of photographs taken at Aldershot for Queen Victoria. McNamara served at Sevastapol and Inkerman, as well as the charge of the Heavy Brigade in the Battle of Balaklava.
