Kopsland, a retired resident of Flat-head County, is a worthy representative and thehead of his family in this country, a man who hasperformed his full duty in every phase of lifesactivities in which he has engaged and who isnow enjoying the good will and confidence of allwho know him. T. Kopsland is a Scandinavian by nativity, hav-ing been born in Norway in 1850, and is the sonof Thomas and Karen Marie Kopsland. He waseducated in the schools of his native land, wherehe remained until he was nineteen years of age.In 1869, with a laudable ambition to improve hismaterial affairs, he immigrated, to the United States,landing in New York harbor on April 12, 1869.He at once went to Northeastern Iowa, to whichplace friends from his home land had precededhim, and there he obtained employment.
