Returning to Mr. Skvlsteads eldest son. NavalLieut. Ralph F. Skylstead, a few words of tributemav he given to a very unusual young man, who iswell known at Havre, where he received his earlyeducation. In 1913 he received his appointment tothe Naval .Academy at .Annapolis, Maryland, whichhe entered in his sixteenth year, on May 6, 1913,from which he was graduated March .?o, 1917, im-mediatelv receiving a commission as ensign.
