It will be perceived that the former is considerably the tallest; jjutthere is in reality not much difference in the weight of the two, inasmuch as the latteris of thicker and more compact form. The same remark is applicable to the males ofthe two species. Occasionally there are found, as in the case of our domestic cattle,enormous specimens of the buffalo of both sexes, but as a general thing there is notmuch disparity in the size of these two branches of the same great family. 10.
