Stalin, Union of Soviet Socialist Republics; Prime Minister Winston Churchill of Britain; and W. Averrell Harriman, representing President Roosevelt. The three men met in the middle of August, 1942, at the request of the Soviet leader, and held a series of conversations concerned with the future conduct of the war. Also present was V.M. The US Navys (USN) Arleigh Burke Class Guided Missile Destroyer USS WINSTON S. CHURCHILL (DDG 81) (right) follows a suspected pirate vessel in the Indian Ocean. After receiving a report of an attempted act of piracy from the International Maritime Bureau (IMB) in Kuala Lumpur on the morning of January 20th, the guided missile destroyer and other US naval forces in the area located this vessel controlled by suspected pirates and reported its position. After some aggressive action (shot across the bow) by the CHURCHILL, US Sailors later established communications and boarded the vessel. (SUBSTANDARD)

Official pictures of meeting of Stalin, Churchill, Harriman. These are the first official pictures released in the United States of the recent meetings of Premier I.V. Stalin, Union of Soviet Socialist Republics; Prime Minister Winston Churchill of Britain; and W. Averrell Harriman, representing President Roosevelt. The three men met in the middle of August, 1942, at the request of the Soviet leader, and held a series of conversations concerned with the future conduct of the war. Also present was V.M.
