Devereaux (second from left), Commander, 100th Air Refueling Wing (ARW). When a new softball field was planned, Mr. Tester and his colleagues were called in to survey an area first and they discovered the artifacts. This body was not only the only find that the archaeologists found, there were several other remains, pottery, and coins. Throughout the week, Sailors also passed out NORTH CAROLINA ball caps to children at Duke Children's Hospital, served lunch at an area soup kitchen, and read stories to children at a local library. Navy Week is sponsored by the Navy Office of Community Outreach and is coordinated with local recruiting districts.
