When they worked all day the three earned $1.50, paid 8 cents and hour for all time including overtime, Rosa and Sarah worked up to 10 P.M. sometimes last summer (a poor one) other years until midnight. Rosa worked in factory. Sarah and Jo in sheds part of the time. Went out to Albion last of May and came back middle of November, losing nearly 15 weeks of school time. Refugees in front of the old palace, Athens. This was used as a palace by King George 1, who was killed in 1912, during the war it was used as a hospital. Now part of it is occupied by refugees and part of it is offices for the relief of refugees. To this palace refugees come every day to learn whether lost relatives and friends have been found; a bureau for that purpose is maintained there. Lady claims one seventh of property of U.S. Post office--posts her part. Washington, D.C., July 22. Mrs. Samuel A. Wimsatt who says that one seventh of the property upon which a postoffice was built at Rockville, MD., near here, is still hers because it was not legally bought from her. This morning she appeared at the scene upon which a dedication was scheduled and began posting 'No Trespassing' signs upon the part of the land which she claims. She threatened to have any trespassers locked up. Part of the ceremonies was to be a tour of inspection of the building, and when the time came, no arrests were made, although Mrs. Wimsatt began writing names upon the back of a 'No Trespassing' sign and threatens action Monday morning against visitors to the building. On the sidewalk behind her is her sister, Mrs. Claude Tschiffely who aided her in posting the signs, 7/22/39
