Enligt påskrift var vid tiden för bilden Wilhelm Rolén klubbens ordförande, Jean Brobeck dess vice ordförande och Gustaf Neuman föreningens sekreterare. Föreningen bildades 1891 och fick till en början låna läroverkets båtar men kunde efterhand köpa egna både 4-åriga och 2-åriga flytetyg. Roddklubben hade verksamhet till åtminstone 1896. Enligt påskrift var vid tiden för bilden Wilhelm Rolén klubbens ordförande, Viktor Lindeberg dess vice ordförande och roddchef samt Georg Isaksson föreningens sekreterare. Vi får förmoda att dessa herrar återfinns bland roddarna.

Medlemmar i Linköpings Roddklubb poserar inför en bal i egen regi på Stora hotellet 1892. Dessa årliga arrangemang hade som syfte att inbringa medel till inköp av den erforderliga utrustning som rodden krävde. Från vänster ses, sekreterare Knut Malmborg, kassör Herman Hammarlöf, Gustaf Andersson, ordförande Vilhelm Rolén, roddchef Viktor Lindeberg, Wathier Kroné, vice ordförande och intendent Sven Torgersruud, Emil Björling och Vilhelm Erlandsson. Föreningen bildades 1891 och fick till en början låna läroverkets båtar men redan efter 1892 års bal kunde man av Karlstad Roddklubb köpa två stycken 4-åriga kapproddbåtar och en 2-årig dito.

Fahey, Chairman of the Federal Home Loan Bank Board today estimated before the Federal Monopoly Committee that home owners are saving $500,000,000 a year as a result of the reduction in interest rates brought about by government activities since 1932. Blind youngsters display ability before Senate Committee. Washington, D.C. April 9. Blind children from the Maryland School for the Deaf, Dumb and Blind coaching Senator Claude Pepper, of Florida, in the art of operating a braille typewriter. The youngsters appeared before the senate subcommittee on education and labor, of which Senator Pepper is Chairman, as an example of what can be done for physically handicapped children if a bill sponsored by the International Society of Crippled Children is passed. The bill provides for the education of all types of physically handicapped children. It appropriates $1,158,000, of which $2,080,000 is an outright grant ($40,000 to each state), and $9,000,000 for matching; and $500,000 for administration of the act by the U.S. Office of Education. New York Board of Trade says 'nonsense' to charges on capital strike. Washington, D.C., June 3. M.L. Seidman, Chairman of the New York Board of Trade Tax Committee suggested a 10 point tax program to the House Ways and Means Committee. He brought out that business would lose its fear of striking out for recovery if it knew in advance where Congress would place taxes. He said that removal of numerous taxes and replacement of that federal income by broadening of the income tax base might be a solution. Said he, ' We hear it said that capital is on strike. But, that is sheer nonsense. What we lack is a willingness to run the risk of employment against too many odds'

New 'Mosquito Boat' ready for action. Washington, D.C., June 19. The PT-9, first of the American Motor Torpedo Boats to be delivered to the U.S. Navy under the President's $15,000,000 experimental small craft program had a preview showing for the press today. The 'Mosquito Boat' and eight other ones will be based at the naval operating base, Norfolk, Va., where they will undergo service tests under various sea conditions to determine their capabilities and limitations. This is the same type of boat that the government is in the process of releasing to the British Navy. Chairman David L. Walsh of the Senate Naval Affairs Committee expressed indignation over the Navy's action in this respect in view of the fact that this government is trying to build up its own sea power
