F.B.I. guard reports in. Washington, D.C., Aug 4. Officer Ray D. Buckingham using a plug-in telephone, which every guard carries as part of his regular equipment, reports to headquarters as he patrol his section of the 7 miles of corridors in the Department of Justice Building. The home of the G-Men is probably the most carefully guarded government building in the Capitol. The aces of the Guard Force are chosen to protect that part of the building which houses the records of Federal Bureau of Investigation, 8/4/37

Lieutenant McArthur Powers, twenty-seven, of Inwood, New York, (left) and Lieutenant Richard E. Duffey, twenty-four, of Walled Lake, Michigan, at the 57th Fighter Group base somewhere in Tunisia after both men had become aces in a single engagement by destroying five enemy planes. Powers, who had been with the Royal Air Force at El Alamein, now has seven enemy planes to his credit. He had two with the Royal Air Force

A US Navy (USN) F/A-18F Super Hornet, Strike Fighter Squadron 41 (VFA-41), Black Aces, Naval Air Station (NAS) Lemoore, California (CA), conducts a mission over Persian Gulf. The Hornet is armed with an AIM-9 Sidewinder missile on wingtip and an AGM-65 Maverick missile on pylon and a GBU-12 500-pound bombs on or pylons. Tucked under intake is an AAQ-14 LANTIRN (Low-Altitude Navigation and Targeting InfraRed for Night) pod. Also under fuselage, a 370-gallon External Fuel Tank.
