Russian refugees in Bulgaria. Royal summer palace, Euxinograd at Varna on the Black Sea coast of Bulgaria, where hundreds of Russian refugees evacuated from Odessa, and other southern ports, were brought by the American Red Cross. The Bulgarians were glad to care for the Russian refugees, feeling that they were helping to pay in a slight measure the debt of traditional gratitude they owe to the Russians for their independence as a kingdom
