American Red Cross - Soliciting Funds - Public Gatherings - Washington peanut vendor gives receipts to Red Cross. Steve Vaselakes, who came from Greece and who has sold peanuts to army officers and others for the past ten years from his pushcart at the northeast corner of the White House grounds in the capital, is too old to fight, but felt that he should "do his bit" to aid the country. Therefore, Steve gave his net receipts for all last week to the Red Cross
