Telephone service from land to ships at sea inaugurated from U.S. Capitol. The first commercial wireless telephone service between land and ships at sea was inaugurated today from the United States Capitol by Rep. Fred A. Britten, (R) Illinois, Chairman of the House Naval Affairs Committee, Rep. Britten talked to Commodore H.A. Cunningham aboard the S.S. Leviathan. Studies little mollusca. Dr. Paul Bartsch of the National Museum studies mollusk specimens from the Mississippi river in connection with experiments being conducted by the Bureau of Fisheries. These shellfish are little fellows in their infancy. One of the tubes held by Dr. Bartsch holds 1,265,920 specimens, taking up three-fourths of a cubic inch of space, while the other contains 568,000 specimens. 12/22/30
