Map 5, 1935, in honor of Mother's Day. Map was published to commemorate the 45th anniversary of the Northern Trust Company in 1934, "A direct reproduction of a map of Illinois published in 1834. panels portray important historical events and developments of the period. The cartouche in the upper portion is flanked by portraits of a Black Hawk Native American, and Shadrach Bond, the first governor of Illinois. The cartouche in the lower portion is above a portrait of Lincoln. Shows counties, major roads, towns, canals, and rivers, tables of population and steam boat routes.
