Who is the man to the right?

description

Summary

The man to the left is Major Brown, who led the British troops that came to Jutland in May 1945..Here he is photographed in Holstebro..The man on the right, however, cannot be identified, but he is most likely not from the Holstebro area as he is carrying an official armband, perhaps a bow tie in the same colours. Locals used local armbands. .He first apperared in Holstebro during the disarmament of some German troops of “Russian” nationality ..Was he a foreign interpreter (English/Russian)? Was he stationed in Central Jutland?.We received the photo from Holstebro Museum..We know from reliable sources that the man was in the town in connection with “russeraffæren” (”the matter with the Russians”) in the period 7-12 May 1945, when Major Brown disarmed German troops in West Jutland...We need your help to identify him.
