U.S. Air Force Gen. Douglas Fraser, commander of U.S. Southern Command, congratulates Brazilian navy Cmdr. Paulo Petro, after pinning the Joint Service Commendation Medal on his uniform, during a recognition ceremony today at the command's Doral headquarters. Petro and Chilean navy Capt. Luis Bravo were presented the medals on behalf of the Secretary of Defense for distinguished service while assigned to SOUTHCOM as partner nation liaison officers.
