Wehrsig is assigned to Maritime Expeditionary Security Squadron Seven (MSRON) 7, based at Naval Station Guam. MSRON-7 is training with Philippine navy and marine personnel on various maritime security tactics during Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) Philippines. CARAT is a series of bilateral exercises held annually in Southeast Asia to strengthen relationships and enhance force readiness.
