Summary
Significance: It is located within the Pearl Harbor National Historic Landmark. This prominent wood structure is significant for being built as a functional support facility during the shipyard's initial phase of development that began in 1912. Facility 29 also reflects an evolution through several Pearl Harbor Naval Base construction periods as it was modified several times, including the period during WWII when it was altered to support the increase in the number of shipyard workers. It has continued in its original use throughout its history and remains functionally important to the shipyard's operations.
