David Shindel, first sergeant, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 5th Armored Brigade, reaches the half way point in the 26.2 mile Bataan Memorial Death March, March 27 at White Sands Missile Range, N.M. The memorial march, which started in 1993, is held annually to honor those who lost their lives in 1942 in the Philippines.
