US COAST GUARD UNITAS '05

PANAMA CANAL (July 3, 2005)--Under the glow of artificial light, crewmen from the Cutter Forward work on the bow of their ship while navigating through the Panama Canal. The Forward is heading to the Pacific from its homeport in Portsmouth, Va., to participate in the international naval exercise UNITAS. UNITAS is aimed at increasing inter-operability between naval forces in the Western Hemisphere and will include forces from seven different nations.
