s Some of the most hon-ored names in the history of our country,especially in recent years, are Jewish names.They are found in the fields of statesmanship,literature, art, business and philanthropy. Theyhave won for themselves and their people arecognition and respect in America as great asin any country in the world. Perhaps the most encouraging feature of thesubject is the self-helpfulness of the Jews.Hospitals, homes for the aged and infirm, or-phan asylums and charity organizations are al-most without number, and the business-like wayin which they are conducted is a practical illus-tration of the peculiar Jewish ability in financialmatters.
