Arthur Wardle (1864-1949) was an English artist. He was born in London and trained at the Royal Academy Schools. Wardle's work was influenced by the Pre-Raphaelites and the Arts and Crafts movement, and he often used a detailed, realistic style. He became a member of the Royal Society of British Artists and exhibited at the Royal Academy and other major galleries. Wardle's paintings were popular during his lifetime and continue to be admired for their skilful depictions of animals in natural settings.
