The moisture in the air around a Fighter Squadron 102 (VF-102) F-14A Tomcat aircraft condenses into water vapor as the aircraft breaks the sound barrier while passing the aircraft carrier USS AMERICA (CV-66). In the foreground are a Strike Fighter Squadron 86 (VFA-86) F/A-18C Hornet aircraft, left, and a VF-102 Tomcat. The AMERICA is on station in the Red Sea following Operation Desert Storm.
