Pearl Harbor, Hawaii (Jan. 11, 2005) The Military Sealift Command (MSC) hospital ship USNS Mercy (T-AH 19) moored in Pearl Harbor for a brief port visit before deploying to support Operation Unified Assistance, the humanitarian operation effort in the wake of the Tsunami that struck South East Asia. Mercy contains Twelve fully equipped operating rooms, a 1,000-bed hospital facility, digital radiological services, a diagnostic and clinical laboratory, a pharmacy, an optometry lab, a cat scan and two oxygen-producing plants.
