Summary

NEW YORK (May. 20, 2015) The guided-missile destroyer USS Barry (DDG 52) approaches One World Trade Center in downtown Manhattan during the Parade of Ships at Fleet Week New York 2015. The event officially begins Fleet Week New York and provides the public with a passing review of the week's visiting ships. Fleet Week New York, now in its 27th year, is the city's celebration of the sea services. It is an opportunity for the citizens of New York and the surrounding tri-state area to meet Sailors, Marines, and Coast Guardsmen, as well as witness firsthand the latest capabilities of today's maritime services.
