This photograph depicts the cast and crew members of the Australian film Mystery Island (1937) on board SS MORINDA. The cast and crew were sailing from Walsh Bay, Sydney to Lord Howe Island to shoot the film. ..Shortly after shooting the film, George Rikard Bell (screen name Brian Abbot) and a fellow cast mate, Leslie Hay Simpson (screen name Desmond Hay), decided to forego the trip back to Sydney on board MORINDA and opted to sail on board the 16-foot motor skiff, MYSTERY STAR.
