Summary
Significance: Structure M consists of the foundation of a large building. The foundation is located atop a small south to north trending finger ridge which extends into the Horse Thief Draw. The structure is located approximately 1/2 mile northwest of Superior. The foundation is square in shape with its overall dimensions being 40 feet 4 inches on a side. The foundation consists of rough cut sandstone slabs bonded with cement. Two openings were noted in the foundation. One is a stairway landing to a doorway in the north side. The stairway descends through a passage lined with sandstone blocks to a doorway. The door has been removed and the passage is full of scrap lumber from the walls and roof of the building. The second opening is along the east side of the foundation. It is a small window 2 feet 0 inches in length and 1 foot 9 inches high. The frame consists of three 2 inch x 4 inch boards fastened to the sides. All glass has been removed.
