Description: Photographic documentation of the Shuttle Plume Impingement Flight Experiment (SPIFEX) as viewed through a Space Shuttle Discovery aft flight deck window during STS-64. The SPIFEX was designed to study the characteristics and behavior of exhaust plumes from Discovery's Reaction Control System (RCS) thrusters. Includes views of Mission Specialist Jerry Linenger photographing SPIFEX through the window (002); and Mission Specialist Susan Helms using the SPIFEX handheld laser (003).
