Albumen print mounted on red card with rounded corners of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow and Edith (Longfellow) Dana standing on steps in front of the Longfellows' house. Stamped in block print, on center verso, "ALDEN PHOTO CO./BOSTON./503 WASHINGTON ST." Referenced in September 20th, 1878 letter "And as we went out of the door, there stood another photographer with his deadly instrument aimed at us, and insisting upon taking us as we stood on the steps".
