The designers of projects of construction of railways and those who manges them quite often feel the need for drawings already existing buildings and various structures of our railways for different reasons. The lack of such a common reference of drawings collection gave me the idea to collect and combine them into one album, divided for more convenient use into four series. The first is a series of profiles of a normal road designs, the general arrangement of tracks on the stations and so on. The second series depicts passenger and locomotive building, workshops, barracks, residential and guard houses, tanks, platforms, and so on. The third series is bridges and technological pipes. The fourth series is of steam engines, rolling parts, turning circles and so on. At the time of printing of this Album I had to accommodate additions and changes, and in order to avoid the termination of publication, I was presented with some of the works in an extremely hasty manner. That's why some drawings had to be printed in the same tone and could easily be found deficient. Whatever the shortcomings of the present publication, I can not regard myself to my part as if not done everything possible in my possession and the available facilities. I am convinced that it is better to have a such although a mediocre collection of drawings, than nothing at all. In conclusion, I consider it my duty to bring sincere appreciation to K.I.Stjernvall and I.O.Dunin for the assistance and advice provided to me during the preparation of this album which is presented to the specialists. Please regard the shortcomings of my work as guided by practical observations of competent people: I would be more careful with the publication of the second issue of drawings of roads: Kiev-Brest, Brest Grajewski, Landvorovo-Romenskaya, Sevastopol, Poti, Tiflis and other newly built.
