Home, erected ca. 1902, is a rare surviving example of a grand, intact Federation period residence in Brisbane. Home was designed by Brisbane architect Alexander Brown Wilson and built by W. Anthony . The residence is situated high above the Brisbane River at 9 Leopard Street, Kangaroo Point, giving magnificent views of the Brisbane River and central business district. Home was built for John Lamb, co-proprietor of the Queen Street drapery establishment of Edwards & Lamb. Home is also known as Lamb House.
