Jagdharry, both assigned to Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni port operations, work to moor the mine countermeasures ship USS Patriot (MCM 7). The Sasebo, Japan-based ship is the first U.S. Navy ship to utilize the recently built port and harbor facility at the Marine air base. While in Iwakuni, Patriot crew members will have an opportunity to interact with the local population and Iwakuni-based Japanese Self Defense Force personnel.
