Central Command Area Of Responsibility (Feb. 12, 2003) Sailors use a fork lift to off load ammunition for future operations from a Landing Craft Utility (LCU) assigned to the amphibious assualt ship USS Tarawa (LHA 1). Tarawa's Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) uses LCUs and other conventional landing craft as well as helicopters to move U.S. Marine assault forces ashore.
