description

Summary

SAPPORO, Japan (Feb. 05, 2014) Aircrew Survival Equipmentman 2nd Class Chris Dorrough, listens as a Japanese school child introduces herself in English. Dorrough is a member of the 2014 Navy Misawa Snow Sculpture Team, which is taking part in the 65th Annual Sapporo Snow Festival. The team sculpted a frosty, 3-D version of the U.S. Navy Seabee's "Fighting Bee" logo. This is the 31st year that Naval Air Facility Misawa and its tenant commands have sent a delegation of Sailors to Sapporo to create a sculpture, and to serve as U.S. Navy goodwill ambassadors in an area of Japan that doesn't receive much U.S. Navy exposure.
