Summary

Print shows an advertisement in the form of bank notes in the denominations of 2 and 3 advertising Reed and Stiles engraving and copperplate printing firm in Hartford and East Windsor, Connecticut. At the top of the sheet is an allegorical scene with two women wearing classical dress, one holding a sketch of a bust portrait, the other is holding a lyre and pointing to an open page in a book, between them rests a bust sculpture of a figure wearing a plumed helmet, the sculpture rests on a pedestal on which is the number "5". There are two ships in the background, one at anchor and the other under full sail.
