Pvt. Epeli Loaniceva carries leaves and branches to use as a roof for a shelter, July 15, 2016, during jungle survival training, at Ovalau, Fiji, as part of a multi-national, bilateral exercise between the U.S. and Fiji. During the survival training U.S. Marines, with Task Force Koa Moana, and Fijian Soldiers were separated from their platoon’s and were forced to find food, water and shelter to survive for more than 24 hours. During the exercise the service members conducted jungle survival, patrol base operation and live-fire range training to increase interoperability and relations. Loaniceva is an infantryman with 3rd Battalion, 3rd Fiji Infantry Regiment, Republic of Fiji Military Force.
