Production. Fifty-foot steel ramp boats. Cordage fenders for use on fifty-foot steel ramp boats under construction at a Southern boatyard. These fenders are made of jute rope to save the manila cordage formerly employed for this purpose. The steel ramp boats on which they will be used are for the landing of men, tanks and other equipment on hostile shores
