Title page to a tract entitled "Nebucadnezars Beeld tot Versailles ten toon gesteld, om tot Madrid opgerigt te worden", no. 27 in the series entitled "Esopus in Europa"; in the centre, an etching showing an elegant group of a French Academician, a courtesan and a "Bendvogel" (described by Stephens as a member of a German society of painters in Italy) with a small dog at their feet. They comment on a statue of the Duke of Anjou enthroned beneath a canopy supported by caryatids in the form of young French women, on the top of which is the sun of Louis XIV; a number of gentlemen prostrate themselves at the feet of the statue. 1702
