Summary
Print shows birds eye view of the battlefield formation of troops during the battle of Nördlingen from August 3,1645. Includes view of the village of Allerheim under fire in the center between the castles of Allerheim and Wallerstein. Locations of the brigades from the Hessian, Franconian and Bavaria armies, French gendarmes and reserve companies, and others are indicated on the print as are directions to Nördlingen, Hunnerberg and the Wernitz [Wörnitz] River. Includes key numbered 1 through 28 and letterered A-Z and a-j with explanatory text in German caption below the print.
