Hand colored and lettered map shows shows the area around Vaihingen an der Enz, Germany in 1691. Drawn lines radiate from Vaihingen to locations around the map. Includes locations of villages and towns, mountains, the Neckar, Entz and Rhine rivers. Includes view of Philpsburg and Fort Louis fortresses on the Rhine, bridge crossings on the rivers. Includes locations of troops by drawings of cannons near Heydelberg [Heidelberg], Eppingen, Kirnbach, Pfaffenhofen, Brackenheim, and others. Includes areas identified with flames including Steinberg, Vavenspurg, Sternfels, Hohen Haslach, Lientzingen, Muhlacker, Somerfels, Pfortzheim, Hohen Aspberg, Leonburg and outside of Vayhingen [Vaihingen] in the center of the picture. Additonal handwritten notes in a different hand identify the number and types of troops at different locations. Holy Alliance forces fought against the French who plundered Vaihingen an der Enz in 1692.
Title devised by LC staff from handwritten caption in lower left hand corner of the print. Additional explanatory caption in lower right hand corner of the print provides a key to location of garrisons of Hussar troops in 1691.
